Job Description

We are on the hunt for a Retail Manager to lead our Durban store. The successful applicant will be responsible for motivating the team, managing inventory, and ensuring the store meets its sales targets. A deep understanding of retail operations and a knack for customer service are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the retail team to meet the standard of service.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to boost sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle any issues that arise.
  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
  • Ensure high standards of visual merchandising and presentation.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the products and services offered.
  • Oversee the hiring and training of new staff members.
  • Communicate with upper management regarding store performance and challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Establish a welcoming environment by ensuring store cleanliness.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a retail management role
