Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Merchandise Planner to manage and optimise our inventory levels across various retail channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of retail operations, enabling them to forecast demand and enhance product availability while minimizing excess stock.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust inventory management processes aimed at reducing stock surpluses.
• Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure timely product deliveries.
• Utilise software systems to track inventory levels and streamline purchasing processes.
• Assist in the selection and evaluation of new merchandise assortments based on market trends.
• Lead weekly meetings with the merchandising team to address inventory issues.
• Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvements in merchandise assortments.
• Monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of merchandising strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in merchandise planning or retail analysis
