Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We’re seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will assist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized pharmacy environment.
• Educate patients on medication adherence and health management.
• Keep accurate records of controlled substances.
• Participate in community health initiatives and wellness programs.
• Assist in the implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on new pharmacy products and therapies.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program
• Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology is a plus

Experience

• Experience in a community pharmacy is preferred

• Bilingual capabilities: Ability to communicate with patients in both English and Afrikaans or Zulu is a plus.
