Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Public Health Officer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will work towards enhancing community wellbeing through strategic health initiatives. This role requires effective collaboration with healthcare providers, stakeholders, and community members to address public health issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate public health campaigns to improve community health.
• Conduct community-based research to identify health trends.
• Collaborate with non-profit organizations on health interventions.
• Facilitate communication between healthcare professionals and the community.
• Utilize data to develop strategic health plans.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Lead health education programs for various community groups.
• Ensure compliance with public health regulations and standards.
• Foster a culture of health and wellness within the community.
• Support public health grants and funding applications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in public health roles

Certifications

• Certified Public Health Administrator (CPHA)
