Job Description

We are actively seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee construction projects in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing both large and small-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will be responsible for coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, maintaining high safety standards, and driving project efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction activities and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and surveyors to ensure design integrity.
  • Evaluate and select subcontractors based on project requirements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss project updates.
  • Review and approve work schedules and project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and legal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and financial forecasts.
  • Develop strategies to improve construction processes and reduce costs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in construction management and project oversight
