Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacovigilance Officer to join us in Durban. This pivotal role involves collecting, monitoring, and evaluating drug safety information while liaising with healthcare providers to enhance our drug safety processes. Your analytical skills will be crucial in our quest to provide reliable and compliant healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report adverse event data accurately.
• Evaluate the benefit-risk profile of marketed products.
• Support product development teams in compliance with safety regulations.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure safety information is effectively communicated.
• Lead investigations into adverse event reports when necessary.
• Ensure all safety data is formatted and submitted to relevant databases.
• Facilitate risk-benefit discussions related to product safety.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences
• Additional qualifications in Pharmacovigilance preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in pharmacovigilance

• Statistical Analysis

Languages

• English: Fluent
