We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supervising construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation phase for structural engineering projects.
• Ensure effective communication with project stakeholders.
• Review project specifications and make necessary adjustments.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and assist in the selection of construction materials.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Collaborate closely with construction teams for smooth project execution.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and innovations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of diverse structural engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Structural Design Codes

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in seismic design: Knowledge of seismic design principles and practices is an asset.
• Familiarity with project management software: Experience with tools like MS Project or Primavera for scheduling.
