We are on the lookout for a knowledgeable Environmental Engineer to join our vibrant team in Pretoria. You will be responsible for developing sustainable solutions to address environmental challenges. The ideal candidate will have education and experience in environmental science, engineering, or a related field. Your role will focus on regulatory compliance, environmental assessments, and ensuring our projects contribute positively to our ecological landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental analysis for new projects, ensuring adherence to legislation.
• Develop and implement environmental management systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams for effective project execution.
• Prepare and present reports to management on environmental impact assessments.
• Facilitate training sessions for employees on environmental best practices.
• Monitor environmental incidents and manage response strategies.
• Contribute to the design of sustainable engineering solutions.
• Engage with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Review and assess proposals for environmental impact.
• Promote sustainable practices within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Master's degree in Environmental Science is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in environmental projects

Technical Skills

• Environmental Modelling Software
• Air Quality Management

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
