Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating clients with a range of mental health issues, providing therapy, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychological testing and interpret results.
• Collaborate with family members when appropriate to foster supportive environments.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
• Advocate for client needs within the healthcare system.
• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions for clients and their families.

Requirements

Education

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
• Postdoctoral experience is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in clinical settings

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Crisis Intervention

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Clinical Psychologist

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Specialization in child psychology: Experience working with children and adolescents on mental health issues.
• Bilingual proficiency: Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans/Zulu.
