Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring effective medication management and customer support while working closely with pharmacists to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the management of over-the-counter medications.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues.
  • Keep up-to-date with new medications and pharmacy practices.
  • Support inventory control and stock management.
  • Provide support in medication therapy management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely medication orders.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with patients.
  • Assist in pharmacy promotions and health campaigns.
  • Participate in training new pharmacy staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Diploma in Pharmacy Technology is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
