We are seeking a dedicated Tax Consultant to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of South African tax legislation and a passion for providing clients with comprehensive tax planning and compliance services. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals and businesses optimize their tax positions and navigate tax regulations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in preparing their tax returns accurately and timely.
• Provide sound tax advice that complies with current legislation.
• Analyze clients' financial data to identify tax issues.
• Educate clients on tax planning strategies.
• Coordinate with financial planners and accountants as needed.
• Review tax returns before submission to ensure compliance.
• Attend relevant training and seminars to enhance tax knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• A postgraduate qualification in Taxation is preferable

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in tax services or accounting

Technical Skills

• Income Tax Law
• Tax Planning Strategies

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant qualification is an added advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in a second language: Knowledge of Afrikaans or another local language is a plus.
• Experience in Corporate Tax: Experience managing corporate tax for businesses.
