Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. You will play a crucial role in the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and submit statutory tax returns.
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
• Maintain and review an efficient filing system for all financial documentation.
• Review the accuracy of journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Support financial planning and analysis efforts.
• Compile and analyze financial data to inform decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to improve profitability.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting software.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting
