Job Description

A Child Health Associate is responsible for providing specialized healthcare services to children, ensuring their overall well-being and promoting healthy development. This role involves conducting thorough medical assessments, diagnosing and treating diseases, and collaborating with parents to enhance child health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine medical examinations and health assessments of children.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and the healthcare team.
  • Advocate for child health issues within the community.
  • Assist in the development of educational materials for parents.
  • Ensure compliance with health policies and procedures.
  • Monitor children’s growth and development in alignment with health expectations.
  • Support families in accessing community resources and healthcare services.
  • Utilize technology and electronic health systems for effective patient management.
  • Participate in research or quality improvement initiatives in child health.
  • Promote healthy lifestyle choices among children and families.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine or equivalent
  • Valid medical license
  • Pediatric specialization or equivalent training preferred
Experience
  • At least 2-3 years minimally in clinical practice focusing on child healthcare
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and protocols
  • Familiarity with medical diagnostic equipment
Soft Skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Teamwork and collaboration
Languages
  • English: Fluent
