Job Description

As an Environmental Consultant based in Durban, you will play a key role in guiding clients through environmental assessments and compliance processes. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to assess the impacts of development projects on the environment.
• Advise clients on renewable energy solutions and sustainability options.
• Analyze environmental data and trends to inform strategy.
• Develop project proposals and scope of work.
• Assist in grant applications and funding proposals related to sustainability.
• Coordinate with other consultants and experts in interdisciplinary projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Studies is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• Previous consultancy experience: Experience working with diverse industries on environmental projects.
