Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The right candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work closely with architects and other engineers to develop efficient structural designs that meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of structural projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training when necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.
• Participate in client meetings to present designs and proposals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Geotechnical Engineering Principles
• Building Codes and Regulations

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Registered Engineer (Reg. Eng.)
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is an advantage.

Languages

• English: Fluent
