Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative engineering solutions that meet client specifications and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects and ensure compliance with engineering regulations.
• Conduct research to innovate and improve mechanical systems and processes.
• Cooperate with clients to identify and meet their exact engineering needs.
• Document and present technical data and project progress to stakeholders.
• Supervise junior engineers and technical staff as required.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and budgets.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and research

Technical Skills

• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Mechanical Systems Analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
• Quality Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in robotics and automation: Hands-on experience in the implementation of robotics in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in advanced manufacturing techniques: Experience with 3D printing and other cutting-edge manufacturing processes.
