Job Description

As an Industrial Engineering Technologist or Technician, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring and maintaining production systems to ensure they run optimally. You will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing quality control checks, making sure we meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and suggest improvements based on analytics.
• Conduct preventative maintenance in line with the operational plan.
• Provide technical assistance during equipment failures.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards during operations and maintenance.
• Document all maintenance activities and report on system effectiveness.
• Assist in the implementation of efficiency-enhancing technologies.
• Participate in training sessions related to new equipment and technologies.
• Support production shifts by ensuring equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new procedures.
• Actively seek feedback from team members to facilitate ongoing improvements.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Engineering or a related field
• Trade Certificate (Electrician, Fitter, Millwright, or similar)

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Strong technical skills
• PLC programming
• SCADA systems

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication skills

Certifications

• First Aid Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies: Knowledge of efficiency methodologies aimed at improving productivity.
• Additional certifications in Automation and Control Systems: Any relevant certifications that can enhance operational capabilities.
