Accountant

Job Description

Looking for a proactive Accountant to enhance our team in Durban. In this role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, assist in annual audits, and provide insights on financial performance. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication abilities and a solid understanding of tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting and compliance.
• Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
• Develop financial strategies to maximize profitability.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls.
• Provide support during financial audits.
• Communicate financial insights to management and stakeholders.
• Participate in financial planning and risk management.
• Ensure that financial practices align with company policies.
• Train and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
