Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Tax Consultant to join our Port Elizabeth team. The successful candidate will manage tax compliance and advisory for a diverse clientele. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of South African tax laws and the ability to apply them effectively.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tax implications of client transactions.
• Prepare effective tax compliance reports.
• Engage in tax advising and planning for optimal client outcomes.
• Monitor ongoing changes in tax laws affecting clients.
• Guide clients through the complexities of tax regulations.
• Lead client meetings and ensure satisfaction with services.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training.
• Foster strong relationships with clients to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Master's degree in Taxation or similar is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in tax consulting or accounting

Technical Skills

• Accounting software proficiency (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks)
• Client relationship management

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Certified Tax Adviser (CTA)
• Professional Taxation Certificate is beneficial

Languages

• English: Fluent
