Job Description

As a Childcare Worker in our Cape Town facility, you will play a key role in the daily activities of children, ensuring their safety and encouraging growth through various educational and recreational programs.

Responsibilities

• Care for and supervise children aged 0-6 years.
• Implement fun and educational play activities.
• Promote a safe and healthy environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
• Assist in meal preparation and ensure proper sanitation practices.
• Encourage social interactions and friendships among children.
• Maintain detailed records of children's progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with other childcare educators to promote best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Matric / National Senior Certificate
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years experience in childcare settings preferred

Technical Skills

• Early Childhood Education Knowledge
• Safety Management

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Adaptability

Certifications

• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Montessori methods: Knowledge of Montessori principles and practices.
• Experience in organizing children's events: Proven track record in planning and facilitating children's activities.
