Job Description

As a Waste Picker, you will play a crucial role in our recycling operations. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting, sorting, and recycling waste materials, ensuring that only recyclable items are processed. This position is physically demanding and requires active participation in team efforts to manage waste effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in waste collection activities in a team setting.
• Identify and categorize materials for effective recycling.
• Ensure proper handling of all collected waste in accordance with regulations.
• Help guide new members on proper sorting and collection techniques.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere focused on efficiency and safety.
• Assist with data collection and reporting on recycling efforts.
• Engage with local community to raise awareness about recycling efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

• Experience operating heavy machinery is a bonus.
