Job Description

As a Geological Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining surface logging systems on oil rigs. Your expertise will contribute to the collection and interpretation of geological data, providing valuable insights that aid in oil and gas exploration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor drilling parameters and collect well data in real-time.
• Perform regular maintenance and calibrations on logging equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks on geological data collected.
• Generate comprehensive reports on logging activities and results.
• Collaborate with the drilling team to ensure seamless operations.
• Provide technical support and training to new team members.
• Ensure compliance with all operational safety standards.
• Engage in problem-solving to resolve operational issues.
• Contribute to project meetings, sharing insights and findings.
• Assist with data entry and management in relevant software tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or related field
• Additional certifications related to oil and gas are beneficial.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in oil and gas operations, particularly in surface logging.
