Occupational Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our passionate team in East London. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions to support individuals in achieving their personal goals. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze patient information for effective treatment planning.
• Implement therapy techniques and document patient responses.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, speech therapists, and other professionals.
• Provide workshops for staff on occupational therapy practices.
• Engage patients in goal-directed therapy sessions.
• Educate caregivers on home programs to support recovery.
• Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
