Job Description

As a Clinical Psychologist at Mental Health Alliance, you will engage with clients to provide therapeutic support and assessment. Your role will entail developing treatment plans based on psychological assessments, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and helping foster a supportive environment for recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough psychological evaluations to inform treatment strategies.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in overcoming challenges.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive client care.
  • Prepare reports based on assessments and ongoing treatment outcomes.
  • Advocate for mental health awareness and reduce stigma in the community.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Supervise interns and junior staff as required.
  • Conduct support groups for specific mental health issues.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote mental health services.
  • Foster a serene and supportive therapeutic environment for clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical psychology
