Job Description

As a Clinical Allergist, you will be pivotal in diagnosing and treating patients with allergies. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, performing diagnostic tests, and developing tailored treatment plans. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient histories and perform detailed physical examinations.
  • Document findings in electronic medical records in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with allergists, nurses, and technicians to enhance patient care.
  • Educate and mentor junior staff and interns on allergy management.
  • Research and develop new protocols for allergy testing and treatment.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent)
  • Specialist training in allergy and clinical immunology recognized by the Health Professions Council of South Africa
  • Valid registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a practicing allergist
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
