Join our Port Elizabeth office as an Insurance Underwriter, where you will play a critical role in the risk assessment process. This position involves analyzing applicants’ information, determining risk levels, and making informed decisions on policy approvals. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and contribute to overall risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess home, auto, and business insurance applications.
• Determine risk categories and establish premiums using analytical methods.
• Work with underwriting and sales teams to improve policy processes.
• Monitor and evaluate ongoing risks and make recommendations for policy adjustments.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations during the underwriting process.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Insurance or Risk Management

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in insurance underwriting or a related field

Languages
