Policy Analyst

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Policy Analyst to support the development of initiatives that improve lives through effective policy-making. You will collaborate with stakeholders and present findings to aid decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop frameworks for assessing the impact of policies.
• Conduct risk assessments related to policy implementation.
• Interact with community members to gather feedback on policies.
• Promote best practices in public policy development.
• Provide technical assistance to other departmental units on policy-related matters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a related field
• Master's degree preferred with a focus on public policy

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant policy analysis experience

• Impact Assessment
• Statistical Software Proficiency

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Presentation Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Understanding of data privacy regulations: Knowledge of regulations affecting data usage in public policy.
• Fluency in multiple South African languages: Ability to communicate in more than one local language.
