Code Enforcement Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Code Enforcement Specialist responsible for ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other related laws and regulations. You will be instrumental in investigating complaints and maintaining public safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on a regular basis to uphold zoning ordinances.
• Communicate with property developers about compliance standards.
• Assist in educating the community on local regulations and compliance.
• Monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
• Provide detailed reports regarding inspections and enforcement actions.
• Facilitate meetings with property owners to discuss compliance issues.
• Engage with the public to address concerns regarding code violations.
• Assist in the preparation of legal documents for court actions.
• Collaborate with the planning department for zoning updates.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Law
• Master's degree in related field is preferred

Experience

• Experience working with local government agencies is a plus
