Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Cape Town office. In this role, you will be involved in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems. You should have a solid understanding of engineering principles and a keen interest in new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from start to finish.
• Analyze product designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Work with project managers to ensure timely execution.
• Develop and present project proposals to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in related roles, ideally in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Project management
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Team leadership
• Time management

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques: Knowledge of 3D printing and automation in manufacturing.
• Experience in quality assurance processes: Background in implementing quality control processes in engineering.
