Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions. Your role will involve working closely with clients to assess their needs, provide therapeutic sessions, and develop treatment plans tailored to each individual.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychological evaluations and diagnostics.
• Create and manage treatment goals for clients.
• Provide support for clients dealing with mental health crises.
• Collaborate with educational and community organizations.
• Document all sessions and maintain confidentiality standards.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families.
• Stay informed about advancements in psychological research.
• Participate in peer consultations and supervision.
• Implement strategies to enhance client engagement and compliance.
• Assess and refer clients to additional services when required.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) preferred
• Registered with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical psychology experience preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Specialization in child and adolescent psychology: Experience working with younger populations in clinical settings.
