Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sewing Teacher to guide students in mastering various sewing techniques. You will develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that inspire creativity and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Teach students various sewing techniques and stitching methods.
• Create and tailor lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
• Offer constructive feedback to enhance student skill development.
• Keep classroom materials stocked and in order.
• Stay updated with industry trends and adapt lessons accordingly.
• Prepare students for assessments and projects.
• Organize sewing competitions and student showcases.
• Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment.
• Implement safety measures within the classroom.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote sewing.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred

Experience

• Experience teaching sewing techniques to various age groups

• Sewing Machines Operation

Certifications

• Certified Sewing Instructor

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
