Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Veterinary Technician to work in our Cape Town clinic. This role involves working hands-on with animals, helping to provide care, perform treatments, and educate pet owners about health maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinary staff in diagnosing and treating animal patients.
• Conduct health assessments and administer treatment plans.
• Monitor vital signs and provide nursing care to patients.
• Educate clients about preventative care and treatment options.
• Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation protocols within the clinic.
• Assist in surgical procedures, including prepping and recovery.
• Manage inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to improve skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or Veterinary Technology

Experience

• 3+ years of experience preferred in veterinary practice
