Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving our cybersecurity posture. You will work on assessing vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and providing guidance on cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and review security architecture for systems and networks.
• Respond to security breaches and provide remediation strategies.
• Perform risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures.
• Assist in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Engage in continuous improvement of security processes.
• Maintain documentation of security policies and incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field
• Master's degree is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of practical experience in cybersecurity

Technical Skills

• Vulnerability Management
• Firewall Management

• Team Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Scripting skills in Python or Bash: Ability to automate tasks and improve security operations.
• Experience with SIEM tools: Proficiency in using Security Information and Event Management tools.
