Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Veterinarian to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive veterinary care, diagnosing and treating animal diseases, and advising pet owners on health and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical examinations and diagnose animal conditions.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as necessary.
• Conduct surgical procedures and perform follow-up cares.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding animal care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations.
• Participate in community outreach programs related to animal health.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
• Advanced qualification in Animal Behaviour is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years in clinical veterinary practice

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia Management
• Veterinary Software Proficiency

• Client Education
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Veterinary Medical Association Membership

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Exotic Animal Care: Knowledge and experience in treating exotic and wildlife species.
