Job Description

As a dynamic Insurance Underwriter, you will evaluate risks and determine appropriate coverage. This role is crucial for supporting our clients and ensuring their peace of mind through tailored insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for new and renewal policies.
  • Communicate directly with clients to collect additional information when necessary.
  • Review and approve coverage amounts based on calculated risk exposure.
  • Work closely with the actuarial team to understand pricing models.
  • Establish underwriting guidelines and risk acceptance criteria.
  • Attend industry seminars and training sessions to improve underwriting practices.
  • Create and maintain effective partnerships with brokers to enhance business development.
  • Assist in developing new insurance products based on market demands.
  • Document all interactions and decisions within the underwriting management system.
  • Contribute to team meetings with insightful analysis and recommendations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting
