Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant based in Johannesburg to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Provide insights and recommendations on financial policies.
• Engage in continuous improvement of accounting practices.
• Assist in managing financial audits and reporting.
• Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks and vendors.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Master's degree in Finance is an added advantage

Experience

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting

• CIMA Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
