Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

As a Warehouse Supervisor in our Port Elizabeth branch, you will play a key role in our logistics operations. You will supervise warehouse staff, coordinate shipping and receiving functions, and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the warehouse team in day-to-day operations.
• Oversee health and safety compliance in the warehouse.
• Manage inventory levels and conduct stock takes.
• Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
• Provide training for new warehouse employees.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and in good working order.
• Record and report on warehouse KPIs.
• Work with management to develop a budget for the warehouse.
• Manage the performance and development of warehouse staff.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in logistics or business management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or warehouse management

Technical Skills

• Supply Chain Management
• Data Analysis

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a high-volume warehouse environment: Proven track record of managing large team in a fast-paced setting.
• Forklift operation experience: Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
