Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will ensure that policies accurately reflect the detailed evaluations of individual risk factors. Your skills in analyzing information and making critical decisions will be instrumental in supporting our mission to provide optimal insurance solutions to our clients in Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities

• Draft reports and prepare presentations regarding underwriting results and strategies.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior underwriters and new team members.
• Review final decisions on complex cases and provide insightful analysis.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance underwriting skills.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant certifications such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as an underwriter

Technical Skills

• Insurance Software Proficiency
