Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to spearhead our cloud initiatives in Johannesburg. This role involves designing cloud solutions that improve efficiency and performance while ensuring scalability and security. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud service providers, architecture, and DevOps principles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend cloud service providers based on project needs.
• Perform security assessments and implement policies to protect cloud resources.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate cloud capabilities into application development.
• Provide technical support and guidance to teams using cloud technologies.
• Acquire knowledge on compliance requirements and ensure adherence in cloud operations.
• Foster a culture of innovation by championing cloud-native solutions within the company.
• Analyze project performance data and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior staff on cloud architecture and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of practical experience in cloud design and deployment
