Job Description

We are looking for an Auditor to join our talented team in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in auditing processes and be passionate about ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. You will work with clients from various industries, helping them to maintain their financial integrity and adhere to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute audits per established timelines and guidelines.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior audit staff.
• Prepare audit findings and presentations for management.
• Conduct special investigations as required by management.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Develop and implement audit strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in auditing or financial analysis

Technical Skills

• Excel
• Accounting Software

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• AAT Qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Strong understanding of tax regulations: Ability to advise clients on tax compliance and optimization.
• Experience in forensic auditing: Skills in investigating discrepancies and fraud in financial reporting.
