Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality IT support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring a seamless technology experience within the company. With your technical skills, you'll play a key role in maintaining the overall IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues in a professional manner.
  • Set up new hardware and software for employees.
  • Maintain documentation for internal processes, repairs, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT department for network-related issues.
  • Assist users in understanding equipment usage and software functionalities.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and necessary tools.
  • Participate in IT projects as needed.
  • Provide technical support during company events.
  • Ensure all equipment meets industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Certificate in IT Support
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is an advantage
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in technical support roles
