Animal Caretaker

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Animal Caretaker to join our dedicated team at Pet Haven Boarding in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare and possess the skills to provide exceptional care for a variety of pets. Responsibilities include feeding, cleaning, exercising, and monitoring the health of the animals.

Responsibilities

• Feed and provide fresh water for all animals.
• Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns.
• Assist in training and socialization of pets.
• Maintain cleanliness of all animal enclosures.
• Engage in playtime and exercise with the animals.
• Help with the administrative tasks related to adoptions.
• Ensure all animals receive timely medication as directed.
• Work as part of a team to provide the highest care standard.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Experience working in a kennel or animal shelter preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role is helpful.
