Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Allied Health Therapist to join our Durban-based team. This role involves working closely with patients to create and implement personalized therapy plans based on their unique needs. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and design tailored therapy interventions.
• Deliver therapy sessions in various settings, including home visits.
• Engage patients in goal-setting and motivate them toward rehabilitation.
• Track and report on progress, adapting therapies where necessary.
• Participate in case reviews and treatment planning meetings.
• Support research initiatives and contribute to practice improvements.
• Educate the community on health and wellness topics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Certification in specific allied health services is a plus

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience as an allied health therapist

Advantageous

• Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques: Knowledge in delivering CBT for relevant patient issues.
