Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will work closely with patients to design and implement individualized therapy plans aimed at improving their functional abilities and overall well-being. You will play an essential role in the recovery process, using evidence-based practices to facilitate rehabilitation and empower patients in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Work alongside healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Evaluate progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
• Guide patients in daily living activities to promote independence.
• Provide valuable resources and support to patients and families.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions on health and wellness.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness.
• Maintain an organized and safe therapy environment.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is an advantage

Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation setting is a plus

Languages

• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Occupational Therapy software: Experience with therapy management software is beneficial.
