Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable environmental practices, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in environmental science and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Assess environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Implement waste management initiatives and recycling programs.
• Monitor air and water quality in compliance with regulations.
• Research and recommend sustainable technologies.
• Engage with government agencies regarding environmental policies.
• Draft technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and training on environmental best practices.
• Oversee environmental audits and compliance checks.
• Assist in the development of grant proposals for sustainability projects.
• Support project teams in integrating environmental considerations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering or related field
