Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of structural principles and be adept at designing and analyzing structures. In this role, you will collaborate with architects and contractors, ensuring the integrity and safety of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Design sustainable and innovative structural solutions.
• Support the project management team in delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Investigate issues that arise during construction and propose solutions.
• Ensure that projects comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Assist with project cost estimates and feasibility studies.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions related to structural design.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of practical experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Project Planning Software

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic
