Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen our cybersecurity team in Durban. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in network security, system vulnerabilities, and data privacy practices. You will play a crucial role in protecting our digital assets and mitigating potential security threats.

Responsibilities

• Establish robust security measures and policies.
• Regularly update awareness training for employees on security threats.
• Integrate new security technologies into existing infrastructures.
• Coordinate with external vendors for security solutions.
• Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents.
• Evaluate and recommend new security software and applications.
• Lead security workshops and training sessions.
• Evaluate security incidents to determine root causes.
• Build a comprehensive cybersecurity awareness culture among employees.
• Report directly to senior management on cybersecurity risks and strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar fields
• Additional certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent are preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing cybersecurity systems
