Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacist to join our team at Local Pharmacy in Johannesburg. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing top-notch pharmaceutical care to our patients, dispensing medications, and offering expert advice on health and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions.
  • Counsel patients on medication adherence and safe usage.
  • Review patient medical histories for contraindications.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and programs.
  • Conduct medication therapy management.
  • Evaluate prescription requests for accuracy.
  • Resolve medication-related issues with patients and providers.
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy practice standards.
  • Engage in patient outreach for follow-up care.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • PharmD or relevant postgraduate degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in retail pharmacy
