Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team in Durban. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to enhance control.
• Review and reconcile monthly bank statements and accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial planning.
• Support external auditors in the annual audit process.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and projections.
• Advise on financial implications of business decisions.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance.
• Participate in team meetings to advise on financial matters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant work experience
