Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing structural frameworks for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct structural inspections and evaluations.
• Prepare and present project proposals and designs to clients.
• Implement quality control measures to comply with engineering standards.
• Conduct field visits to assess construction progress and compliance.
• Collaborate in preparing and reviewing project contracts.
• Advocate for innovative and sustainable engineering practices.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for engineering staff.
• Collaborate with environmental teams to ensure sustainable designs.
• Support project delivery through effective communication with contractors.
• Utilize advanced engineering software for project simulations and drafts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a similar role

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
